| I SEE... I see an intricate, delicate, complicated, beautiful, scary, detailed, hideous, dark, bright, relaxing, extreme, colorful, contrasting, peaceful, stressful, painful, youthful, unique, unpredictable, spiritual, synical, harsh, fast, mobile, version of reality. I work almost entirely on instinct. The areas of my life , which extend to and make my presented perspective on life unique, are as follows : I have extensive knowlege about biological sciences, quantum physics, quantum consciousness, bio-chemistry, psychology, music, humanities, creative writing, human physiology, the psychology of learning, comparitive religions, the medical feild, Art, Atomic structure/function, interpersonal communication, HUMAN EMOTION. HUMAN THOUGHT. THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE. (etc) ... I am currently working on college degree 2. I am quick to learn, slow to act, and right on time for fate. I not only believe I see life from a unique, intelligent, alternate, creative, perspective... I believe I have a talent for showing others interesting aspects of this perspective, through my photography. These two factors in sync with each other, results in my art. I use whichever camera I have handy , but mostly I use my Canon Rebel XT , digital SLR . Much of my art here was created using my old, yet very convienient, Canon Powershot. I also have 2 Panasonic Lumix cameras . They're a few years old , but the quality is still very high (especially for a non-SLR) I use my Sony VAIO lap-top to tweek much of my work. What I have to offer, as a commissioned professional, is providing my customers with a visual narative of the events they hire me to photograph. With minimal direction, I am able to record whichever view-point my customers are looking to have captured, and I GET IT. Each of my photographs tell a story. When commissioned for work, I capture thoughts. I capture emotions. I capture head-space. Occasionally in a simple facial expression... but more often in a gaze, in an unexpected moment, in an look that is sometimes meant to decieve the camera, in a movement, in a touch, in a switch... In my opinion, I capture an intentional batch of stories within a story. People tend to identify with my individual works, as seen on this page, on a very personal and emotional level. Some who have purchased my work, do so with a proclaimation of their own fears, love, pain, suffering, joy and introspection. I find great satisfaction in the emotion that my art seems to bring out of others... Whether it is pleasant or unpleasant. . . for I am a firm advocate of reality, and of opening the door of your darkest room, so that the light from the hall may illuminate your entire soul. Only through the dark may we find the light, and purely see the beauty that lay in abundance around us... THANKS FOR VISITING ~Judith |
